Arapaho United Methodist Church has partnered with the Network of Community Ministries to staff volunteers at Dobie Pre-K to distribute food boxes from their Mobile Food Pantry for several Wednesdays of each month from 1:30-4:00 pm.
Recycling Drive
Do you have old, defective, obsolete or spare electronics at your home or business you need to get rid of? This is your opportunity to do so in a way that is environmentally friendly, provides a little income for church ministries, and serves as a potential tax deduction for donors. Collection boxes will be set up near the church office starting on February 27.

If you are available every other Wednesday afternoons for a couple of hours, you can help make a big difference in your community. Families are still struggling from economic hardships due to the pandemic. These mobile food pantries provide meals for the unemployed and working poor in Richardson ISD whose children suffer from food insecurities.

Seeking help with the following tasks:
· Obtain basic information from clients
· Direct traffic
· Unloading food boxes from the truck (heavy lifting required - up to 20 lbs.)
· Load food boxes into cars

Treat a Teacher Day at Dobie
Make a teacher smile by taking treats and other home-made goodies to Dobie Pre-Kindergarten School for our “Treat a Teacher Day.” Donate baked goods and other pre-packaged treats to show our appreciation to our amazing Dobie teachers. Bring your individually wrapped goodies to the church on Sunday afternoon, March 28th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and Monday, March 29th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Then join us at 10:00 a.m. so you can personally deliver them to Dobie. Please remember, all items MUST be individually wrapped in order to meet school requirements.
Scouts Virtual Food Drive
Every year the Scouts in our local area collect thousands of pounds of food for the Network of Community Ministries. Due to the pandemic, the number of clients the food pantry is servicing has significantly expanded. Still, it is not possible yet for Scouts to safely canvass the neighborhoods for food donations.
Dobie Pre-K Teacher Snacks
The Dobie team invites you to support the teachers and staff of Dobie Primary by providing baked goods and other treats on February 17. Just select an item, mark it with a “dobie” label and drop it by the church on February 16 or before 10:00 am on Feb. 17.
