Anti-Racism Justice Work
Arapaho UMC has a robust Missions and Justice ministry and community presence, including an initiative called Journey Toward Racial Justice. Learn more about our ongoing efforts to be an antiracist, justice-oriented community.
Journey Toward Racial Justice
J2RJ meets meet monthly after worship for lunch and programming, and focuses on understanding and learning more about our call to end racism in all forms. The group meets in Room 40 at 12:15 pm on the third Sunday of the month (except in September). Kicking off on Saturday, September 21 with renowned racial healing and racial equity advocate, Quodesia Johnson. We cherish our time with sister congregation, Hamilton Park UMC, and we gather outside of our monthly gatherings to attend relevant museum exhibits, cultural events, sharing a meal, and more. We advocate for justice, especially relating to the injustice of racism and ethnicity.
