Imagine if your financial contribution had the potential to fuel the next transformative idea within the Richardson and North Dallas community. Over the past few years, Arapaho UMC has harnessed the impact of North Texas Giving Day as a platform for inaugurating fresh ministries. This time around, every donation received by AUMC will directly enhance our capacity to engage with and embolden novel ministries within our faith community. On Thursday, September 19, you donations will go to support the ministries of Live Like Luke and Journey To Racial Justice.
About This Year's Beneficiaries:
Created in 2021, Live Like Luke helps families with kids who have lengthy hospital stays from cancer, complicated heart surgeries, organ transplants, and more. This growing ministry needs the support of AUMC to continue to expand and grow into a healthy free-standing non-profit and would like to bring on a marketing director to increase visibility and fundraising for the organization.
Beginning in 2022, AUMC began the Journey Toward Racial Justice (J2RJ) ministry as a pilot group for the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. This group has been meeting regularly and has grown since its inception. J2RJ is seeking to foster support and growth for racial healing circles by hosting the work of outside experts who can guide the group in a larger way.
AUMC's fundraising goal is $20,000 which will go directly to both of these ministries.
