We are excited to extend an invitation to you to join a dedicated team at the Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS) on November 6 at 7:00 pm.

Established in 2018, POWS is a vital shelter located at The Salvation Army of Plano, near 14th and Shiloh Road. We are proud to have Pastor Cathy as one of our founding leaders. At Arapaho UMC, we have a strong team committed to serving individuals in need of shelter when the temperatures drop below 35 degrees. AUMC is one of seven teams that rotate support on event nights that meet the opening criteria. Our contributions encompass registration, transportation, meals, health kits, medical assistance, showers, clothing provisions, and more.

As we enter this season, we have exciting news to share: a second location will be opening at the East Plano Islamic Center ("EPIC"). Consequently, we anticipate increased activity this season.

POWS team members consistently find this ministry to be one of the most rewarding experiences, allowing us to connect directly with those in need. We warmly invite you to participate in the training sessions and discover how you can contribute to this essential cause.
