What if a financial gift could make space for someone new and empower their next community-changing idea?
North Texas Giving Day™ exists to inspire support for area non-profits through special donations. This year, all gifts received by AUMC will directly improve our ability to connect with and empower new people in this faith community. In 2020, we began live-streaming worship and engaging with online ministries and small groups. Through these new opportunities, we continue to make connections with new faces, build relationships, and grow the AUMC community. And we believe 2020 was just the beginning.
As a “5C Church,” one of our core values is Creativity. The people of AUMC have a history of bringing their creativity to do the holy work of justice, advocacy, and community-building in Richardson, North Dallas, and the greater region of North Texas: Sponsoring the Synergy campus ministry at UT Dallas, helping to found Network Of Community Services, partnering with Austin Street Center in Dallas, and serving as a Host Site for Justice For Our Neighbors (JFON) to name a few. We have seen what is possible when we faithfully invest in the yet-unseen work of God through new ministries.
We trust that as we invest in drawing our circle ever wider, God’s creative Spirit will move once again. To that end, we are actively engaging as a community in racial justice and poverty education work, providing a space for people to critically examine and construct their faith, and working to foster a family ministry for a modern age. These initiatives are driving recent growth both in-person and online.
With the hope of a Creative, Spirit-led future, we are designating all monies collected during North Texas Giving Day™ to the AUMC “Ministry Impact” budget as an investment in God’s work to expand our reach and deepen our work, both locally and far beyond our walls.
