Journey Toward Racial Justice Kick-off

  • Arapaho United Methodist Church 1400 West Arapaho Road Richardson, TX, 75080 United States (map)

Have you been curious about Arapaho UMC's "Journey Toward Racial Justice" ministry? This group meets on the third Sunday of each month, immediately following worship. You are invited to our first meeting of the 2023-24 academic year on September 17 in the Fellowship Hall. Childcare will be available (register here), and lunch is covered by the $10 registration fee.

Everyone is welcome to come learn and discuss topics such as implicit bias (the topic of the first meeting) and understanding racism against Asian Americans, Native Americans, Black Americans, and Hispanic Americans, as well as how to move forward in our journey of antiracism and racial justice. Frequently, we are joined by a large group of members from our sibling congregation, Hamilton Park UMC.

Our goal is to build relationships with each other in order to better understand how we can build unity among God's children. We share stories over meals, visit museums, take bus tours, help with missions, and more. Register below to come see what it's all about on Sept 17. If you cannot make this date, please let Pastor Cathy know so that we can add you to the list for future communications.
