
The Grace Can Lead Us Home Workshop
Would you like to participate in a meaningful dialogue on improving support for the unhoused population in North Texas? Arapaho UMC and First UMC Dallas are teaming up to organize a weekend workshop featuring Kevin Nye, author of "Grace Can Lead Us Home: A Christian Call to End Homelessness." Known for his unwavering advocacy for implementing effective strategies to combat homelessness, Kevin is a prolific writer and speaker at various national platforms and conferences.
Mark your calendars for this two-day event on April 26-27. Come hear insights from Kevin and local leaders as they delve into the intersection of faith and homelessness. On Friday evening (April 26 at 6:00 pm), come gather for dinner and a compelling keynote speech, followed by a panel discussion featuring local experts immersed in the daily realities of homelessness. Then, on Saturday (April 27 from 9:00 am - noon), participate in a workshop aimed at equipping attendees with tools to advocate for and build community with the unhoused individuals in our midst.
The cost for the workshop is $25 per person.

About Kevin Nye
Kevin is a writer and advocate working toward ending homelessness by engaging best practices. He has written on the intersections of homelessness and faith for Religion News Service, Sojourners, Red Letter Christians, and more. He has presented at national conferences on the topic of homelessness, including Housing First Partners Conference 2022.
Kevin’s first book released in August of 2022 and is titled, “Grace Can Lead Us Home: A Christian Call to End Homelessness.” Kevin currently lives with his wife and son in Minneapolis, MN, where he works as Housing Director at an organization addressing youth homelessness.
