Rebecca Wilkins

Rebecca (she/her) was born in Chicago but raised from kindergarten through high school in Southlake, Texas.  She received her BA in Mass Communications at Texas Tech University and began her career in advertising with Y & R New York followed by The Richards Group in Dallas. Her love for events led her to a start-up PR firm, where she spent the next 20 years creating award-winning campaigns for industry-leading retail brands, restaurants and non-profit organizations.  She now freelances for a local firm.

Rebecca and husband, Don, welcomed two young sons in 2013 and 2015, and were first introduced to AUMC when registering their boys for the Day School.  Rebecca served on the Day School’s Parents Association and began her first role on the Children’s Ministry Team as Childcare Coordinator in 2018. She has served as Interim Children’s Ministry Director at AUMC twice, and volunteers for everything from altar décor and meal ministries to leading AUMC’s VBS.  In her new role as AUMC Kids Program Coordinator, she’ll continue (and level up) Arapaho’s commitment to engaging and meaningful family programming.

Look for Rebecca on the sidelines of her kid’s club soccer games, volunteering at the local elementary school, trying out a new restaurant or catching some live music.
