The 8-12th grade mission trip is to the Appalachia Service Project (ASP). ASP builds relationships through volunteer home repairs, serving one of the country's poorest regions. You can learn more about ASP by clicking this link to the video or visiting their home page at asphome.org. You can also learn more from this video.
Our trip goes from Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, June 30. We will be serving in either eastern Tennessee or eastern Kentucky. ASP will let us know about our assigned area in April. It's a two-day trip, we plan on staying the night in a church in Nashville, getting to our area by mid-afternoon the next day. ASP teams typically stay in schools in the area. Students should bring an air mattresses or cot.
