Southern Lights Watch Party

  • Arapaho United Methodist Church (Room 3) 1400 West Arapaho Road Richardson, TX, 75080 United States (map)

Imagine gathering with others to explore how faith can lead us toward a world free from patriarchy and hierarchy—a world rooted in justice, kindness, and humility. This January, join us for a watch party and discussion sessions as we engage with the annual Southern Lights conference, a transformative event that has inspired leaders and forward-thinkers for nearly two decades.

Come gather in Room 3 at Arapaho UMC beginning Friday, January 17, at 1:00 pm and continue through lunch on Saturday, January 18, with a total of five sessions featuring speaker presentations and group discussions. To wrap up, we’ll head out for a shared lunch on Saturday to debrief and reflect on all we’ve heard. For those who wish to continue the journey, there will be an optional Sunday session at 9:00 am featuring the final conference speaker.

Snacks will be provided throughout the event, though meals will be on your own. A detailed schedule will be shared with attendees. Childcare will be available to make participation accessible for all. (Register For Childcare Here)

This is your chance to connect with others, deepen your faith, and imagine new possibilities. Register to reserve your spot and join the conversation.

More about Southern Lights: For 19 years, Southern Lights has served as a beacon for those answering the call to “…do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God.” This year’s conference features an exceptional lineup of speakers and musicians, offering insights and inspiration to help us reimagine our faith and its role in today’s ever-changing world. Together, we’ll dive deeply into the challenges and opportunities of living as followers of Jesus, exploring how we can move beyond patriarchy and hierarchy in our personal lives, faith communities, and understanding of Scripture.
