Saturday Morning Retreat & Watch Party

  • Arapaho United Methodist Church 1400 West Arapaho Road Richardson, TX, 75080 United States (map)

For 17 years, the Southern Lights Conference has encouraged attendees to think more deeply about their faith and how to live their lives as followers of Jesus in today's fast-changing world. This year’s event includes the voices of Diana Butler Bass, Brian McLaren, Anthea Butler, Kaitlin Curtice, and more!

On Saturday, July 9 from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm let’s gather together to hear these leaders speak about:

* Everything Old is New Again: Race, Politics and Religion in America
* Lessons in Decolonization
* Jesuses for the rest of Us: Escaping Evangelical Exclusivism and Discovering Divine Diversity, and
* Staying Human While Staying Christian

We will watch and listen to the speakers, then discuss the talk during a short break. Bring snacks for yourself and others and we will provide beverages. This morning retreat will meet in Room 3 at Arapaho UMC and be an in-person only. Face coverings are optional.
