Have you been seeking to learn about other faith traditions and deepen interfaith relationships? You are invited to an annual tradition at AUMC in which we share in a delicious Ramadan dinner with our friends from the Dallas Dialogue Institute. This group was formed over 20 years ago to promote mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation among people of diverse faiths and cultures by creating opportunities for direct communication and meaningful shared experiences.
On Saturday, April 6, from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, we will meet in the Arapaho UMC Fellowship Hall (enter by the east doors) to learn more about the tradition of fasting and Ramadan. The iftar meal (breaking the fast) will begin at sunset. The Dialogue Institute will prepare the meal, and we will all share in conversation together. During this enriching event, we will bring open minds and hearts as we join together with our interfaith siblings.
This gathering is open to people of all ages. In the past, our friends from the Institute have attended as families with children and youth. This has been a meaningful tradition for many over the years. Please consider being a part of this year's dinner as we welcome our neighbors from the Institute.
