June is Pride Month! Would you like the opportunity to learn more about the history of the LGBTQ Rights Movement?
You are invited to a group tour at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum for a special exhibition called “Rise Up: Stonewall and the LGBTQ Rights Movement.” This exhibit marks the 50th anniversary of a June 1969 police raid of the Stonewall Inn in New York’s Greenwich Village. The protests that followed the raid marked a pivotal moment in the modern gay liberation movement and the ongoing fight for LGBTQ civil rights. "Rise Up" highlights the events that led to the Stonewall Inn riots and how they energized the fight for LGBTQ rights.
We will have two group tours: Thursday, June 8 at 10 am, and Saturday, June 10 at 10 am. Tickets will not exceed $19 and will be discounted if the group has at least 15 members. Payment will be collected at the event.
