Arapaho UMC has a rich history of supporting local schools, including students, teachers, and families, and we’re excited to continue that tradition with an incredible opportunity to volunteer at Dobie Pre-K. Dobie Pre-K is focused on serving 3-year-old students for the 2024-25 school year, and they need compassionate volunteers like you to help nurture young readers.

We invite you to become a part of the Reading Buddies Program, a special initiative where volunteers spend 30 minutes each week reading with a child, engaging them with a book, and playing interactive activities that help foster a love for learning.

To get started, come be a part of a training session on Monday, October 28, at 6:00 pm at Dobie Pre-K, located at 14040 Rolling Hills Lane, Dallas. By becoming a Reading Buddy, you’ll not only help a child develop crucial literacy skills, but you’ll also form a meaningful connection that can have a lasting impact.
