Circle of Trust is based on the idea that, if people get together in an environment marked by trust, honesty and caring, positive spiritual growth will result. The purpose of this group is to experience each other in an authentic, nurturing environment. Consider this, from Parker Palmer: “So what do we do in a circle of trust? We speak our own truth; we listen deceptively to the truth of others; we ask each other honest, open questions instead of giving counsel; and we offer each other the healing and empowering gifts of silence and laughter.” If you are interested in a stronger sense of purpose and integrity, an expanded capacity to be present for others, or more courage to live authentically, Circle of Trust might be just what you’re looking for.
Circle of trust, led by Bob Nelson, will meet on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. for eight weeks, beginning January 18.
