Throughout the year Arapaho's United Methodist Men organize early morning visits to the Austin Street Shelter to feed the clients. This is a great project for a family, a group of friends, a small group or an individual to get involved with working against poverty here in Dallas.
On October 23 & 24, we will collect and deliver food. You may assist the team in several ways: Making A Donation, Preparing food and/or Delivering Food. We need 18-20 food makers, a few cars for delivery and 5 or more volunteers to be food servers.
If you are unable to sign up to do any of the above items, there are additional ways for you to be a part of this effort. Austin Street has let us know that they are in need of small bottles of soap & body wash, cereal and small bottled drinks (Sunny D, juice boxes, etc.). If you would like to contribute any of these items, you can leave them at a collection area near the East Doors or make a financial donation here (select Austin Street as your fund).
