We're expanding our Book Discussion group to include documentaries once a quarter. This quarter, we encourage you to watch the documentary, 13th, which focuses on the 13th Amendment and the effects of legislation about freedom and the criminal justice system. What does it mean when 56% of the prison population is Black or Hispanic, while those same group represent only 28% of the general population?
Come and be a part on August 27 at 7:00 pm via zoom to discuss the documentary. Some may remember that we watched clips of this documentary as our inaugural Dinner and Documentary program. Given current events, we thought we'd give it a try to watch the full documentary on your own, then discuss as a group. You can find the full documentary on Netflix or on YouTube.
